When Ton Leenarts first noticed the many railway overpasses in Cologne they brought back memories from long ago, as a boy he used to watch trains go by and dreamt about boarding them and going to exotic places where the sun never stops shining. And now after so many years and having travelled to many foreign lands the old ugly soot covered railway passes looked different, better, and somehow they reflected all the longing and daydreaming of his youth and as a hommage he painted them in bright beautiful colours.
